CAPE TOWN PHOTO GALLERY Table Mountain dominates Cape Town in so many ways. It affects the weather, it channels the winds through the city and it has its own unique flora and fauna which can be found nowhere else in the world.
One of these routes up the mountain starts from Kirstenbosch gardens, which beautifully displays the full range of Cape flora set against the back of the mountain.
There are beaches for all tastes, from the ultra-trendy Clifton beaches, to the water sport and family beach of Bloubergstrand. The waters are always clean and are regularly tested by the authorities for any traces of impurities.
The day trip to Cape Point via Chapman's is the most well known. Along the way you should take time out to see the penguin colony at The Boulders and sample some fresh seafood at Hout Bay. At the very end of the trip there is the harsh environment of Cape Point where two mighty oceans meet.
Of these, the Stellenbosch Winelands are probably the most scenic and well established.
It is one of those unique locations in the world where top quality facilities have been planted in amongst a full working harbour.
