LETTER TO PORTFOLIO: I have ordered another portfolio for next year and remembered the wonderful time we spent at Sunset Lodge in August. I run
a b&b in England and where possible we stay b&b on holidays. This is by far the best we have ever come
across in every detail.
1. The welcome was superb. My husband, I and 2 children (12&13yrs)
arrived after several hours of searching - tired, hungry and were greeted with home-made soup, bread, tea and cakes.
2. The rooms were beautifully appointed and we were given a larger room
at no extra cost for 2 nights until Sylvia's booked guests arrived.
3. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, with extra touches and
dinner was excellent value - superb home-cooked fayre at very reasonable prices.
4. The staff were friendly, pleasant and courteous.
5. Above all, Sylvia and her Mum went out of their way to make our stay
comfortable and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble.
The standards of a top class hotel at a fraction of the price that I
could recommend to absolutely anyone.

PUBLISHED ON www.linx.co.za: If you take well to being pampered without any detail being spared, this is the place to stay. The guesthouse is situated on a hill overlooking the ocean of Bloubergstrand with its vast array of colours as the day passes. The host and hostess make you feel welcome as soon as you enter the gracious guesthouse.
The bedroom is beautifully decorated with many special touches. You will be met by fresh flowers and fruit juices. Being in the bedroom is a sheer experience in luxury. The ocean view from the bedroom [room 2] is just one other pleasing feature.
After a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed and a goose down pillow, a luscious breakfast is served at your order whenever you feel hungry. Breakfast for us was served on a private deck outside your room with a stunning view of the ocean. One is almost reluctant to leave the beautifully appointed room to explore the sights of Bloubergstrand!
